Gotlands Gummifabrik AB has been acquired by the Garpco subsidary UW-ELAST AB. The acquisition strengthens the business area of Industrial components in polymer materials.

New CEO – the 6th of May Markus Strand was elected to become CEO of the Garpco group. The previous CEO Leif Garpheden now operates as working chairman of the board.

Diamantprofil AB has been acquired by Garpco’s subsidiary Swedex AB. The acquisition strengthens the business area of Industrial tools since the customers now can be offered diamond electroplated tools. As per 1 January 2010, the operations of our subsidary, Trekollan AB, have been transferred to UW-ELAST AB. Our Traryd production unit remains under the name ”UW south”. Vistträsk Slipservice AB has been acquired by the Garpco subsidary Swedex AB.

Financier Sten K Johnson, through his wholly-owned company Tibia Konsult AB, becomes Garpco:s largest minority shareholder, acquiring 25% of our share capital and the corresponding 8% voting power.

Garpco will undertake a share issue targeted at Garpco employees, adding 39 new shareholders owning some 5% of the company’s share capital.

The Garpco Newsletter no. 4/2007 has information about the Group’s half-yearly report which shows a financial result on par with budget. Ronny Englund has been appointed new Managing Director of our subsidiary Glimakra Akvamatik AB. His most recent position has been that of Financial Manager including overall IT and systems responsibilities at the AP Sten Group parent company.

Trekollán AB – a manufacturer and subcontractor of polyurethane products – has been acquired by the Garpco subsidiary, UW-ELAST AB.
This acquisition is a substantial addition to our present business area “Industrial components in polymeric materials”, strengthening the area’s position and increasing its turnover to some 70 MSEK.
Henrik Jungert, sales manager at UW-ELAST, will assume the position as hired Managing Director of Trekollán AB, dividing his time between Trekollán and UW-ELAST.
